Fine art ... groovy tunes

Hello and welcome to my website.

Although I have an Honours Degree in computing and my day job sees me trying to fathom out the mind-boggling complexities of computer systems, my natural leaning is towards the arts. I have been an amateur artist and singer/songwriter for several years now. Mainly self-taught, watercolours were my original passion when I first attended art classes in 1994, but more recently I have ventured into the world of acrylics... and WOW, what have I been missing! Rich in colour, their workability means I am finally fulfilling a long-held urge to paint with knives occasionally too. Messy, but fun.

Based in Hull, I exhibit and sell my work locally and have a selection of my earlier watercolours in short-run prints, while some of my originals are now hanging on walls in foreign lands such as America and New Zealand. I am also a member of ERA (East Riding Artists group), which provides plenty of inspiration and opportunities.

Commissions are welcomed. I enjoy the whole process, from initially discussing a painting idea with a customer through to putting a smile on a face when I hand over the completed work. Please get in touch via my 'Contact' page if you would like to discuss having a picture painted.

Feel free to flick through the paintings in my Gallery pages, and if you fancy a tune while you do so then why not have a listen to these:

Thanks for popping by.
