Fine art ... groovy tunes

I have been an artist and singer-songwriter for several years now. Mainly a self-taught painter, watercolours were my original passion when I first attended basic art classes in 1994, but more recently I have ventured into the world of acrylics. Rich in colour, their workability means I am finally fulfilling a long-held urge to paint with knives occasionally too. Messy, but fun.

Based near Hull, I exhibit and sell my work locally and have a selection of my earlier watercolours in short-run prints, while some of my originals are now hanging on walls in foreign lands such as America and New Zealand.

My songs can be heard online, on radio, and live at venues throughout Yorkshire. When performing at gigs, I tend to sing my own songs and throw in the odd cover version that fits the occasion. I also collaborate with various poets to produce finished songs based on their lyrics, which is really rewarding for both parties.

Commissions are welcomed. I enjoy the whole process, from initially discussing a painting or song idea with a customer through to putting a smile on a face when I hand over the completed work. Please get in touch via my 'Contact' page if you would like to discuss having a picture painted or a song written.

Thanks for popping by,
